The Crossing embodies Ayala’s unique sound, drawing on influences from The Carpenters and The Beatles to Ella Fitzgerald, with modern touches reminiscent of D’Angelo and Jill Scott. The album, recorded at the legendary RAK Studios in London using analogue techniques, features an all-star lineup of musicians, including Paul Turner (Jamiroquai), Alex Reeves (Elbow), Chris Hill (Jamie Cullum), and Troy Miller (Amy Winehouse). Produced by Juan Luis Ayala, David Grant, and Sam Grimley, and mixed by award-winning engineer Richard Woodcraft, the album promises a timeless, high-end sound.

Ayala’s upcoming performance at the 606 Jazz Club offers fans a rare opportunity to experience her new material in an intimate setting. The evening will feature some of the UK’s finest jazz musicians, a powerful horn section, and soulful backing vocals, bringing her thrilling sound to life.

Having spent recent years splitting her time between London and Mexico City, Ayala cleverly blends Mexican folk elements with British jazz-pop, creating a truly global sound. The launch event at the 606 Jazz Club, which sits at the heart of the British jazz scene, is a fitting homecoming for Ayala as she returns to London with her latest work.
