Honolulu, HI – October 2025 – Behind a secret bookcase in the Hilton Waikiki Beach Hotel, something extraordinary is happening. The Magical Mystery Show! has quietly become America’s most talked-about live performance experience –
blending comedy, world-class sleight of hand, and genuine wonder into one unforgettable evening in paradise.
Recently featured in Honolulu Magazine and spotlighted on KHON TV, The Magical Mystery Show! has earned its place as the #1-rated nightlife experience in Honolulu on TripAdvisor, with over 2,400 five-star reviews and growing. Guests from around the world describe it as “pure magic,” “absolutely mind-blowing,” and “the highlight of our trip.”
At the heart of it all is Shoot Ogawa, the show’s Resident Magician and a World Champion of Magic (FISM 2022), performing two 70-minute solo nightly shows, Saturday through Thursday. Recognised internationally as one of the most awarded sleight-of-hand artists alive, Shoot has performed for royalty, heads of state, and Hollywood legends including Johnny Depp, who has booked him for private performances.

Each show begins with a short opener featuring a member of The Magical Mystery Show’s talented ensemble (Kenshin Amagi, Kekoa Erickson, Akinobu, or Pieter Hofstra) before Shoot takes the stage for his full headlining act. On Fridays, the venue hosts either The Sleight & Delight Tour, featuring Kenshin, Akinobu, and Kekoa, or a solo headline performance by Kekoa Erickson, known locally as Hawaii’s “King of the Five-Star Reviews.”
Unlike grand-scale Vegas productions, this show thrives on intimacy. Set inside an elegant Hawaiian-Victorian theater for just 64 guests, it feels more like stepping into a private salon from another century. The audience becomes part of the act, laughing, gasping, and often finding themselves pulled into the magic just a few feet away.
“The show is more comedy than illusion,” says producer Jonathan Todd, a Grammy-nominated entertainment veteran whose career includes decades of work alongside legendary figures like Mick Fleetwood of Fleetwood Mac. “We wanted to bring back that sense of joy and interaction it’s smart, funny, family-friendly, and the laughter is contagious.”

The experience reaches beyond the curtain. A portion of every ticket supports Shriners Children’s Hospital and The Magic Castle’s Junior Program, helping children across the Pacific Rim access medical care and creative mentorship in the art of magic. Guests are invited to attend Magic Classes taught by the performers themselves – a one-hour session designed for all ages to learn tricks, confidence, and showmanship.
Whether you’re a lifelong fan of illusion or simply searching for a night unlike anything else in Hawaii, The Magical Mystery Show! proves that true stage magic still exists — you just have to know where to look.
