Festival St Paul de Vence

Festival de Saint-Paul de Vence celebrates 15 Years of music and shared emotion

Every summer, the medieval village of Saint-Paul de Vence provides the setting for one of the cultural highlights of the season on the Côte d’Azur. From 20 to 29 July 2026, the Festival de Saint-Paul de Vence returns for a landmark 15th edition, celebrating fifteen years of music, artistic encounters and memorable evenings between Provence and the Mediterranean.

An anniversary edition not to be missed

For fifteen years, the Festival has brought together leading artists, emblematic works and a loyal audience in one of the Riviera’s most distinctive settings. Its anniversary programme is built around dialogue, artistic freedom and shared emotion, reflecting the vision that has shaped the event since its creation.

Rather than presenting a simple succession of concerts, the Festival creates a coherent artistic journey in which classical music, jazz, contemporary creation and tributes respond to one another. Several artists who have marked its history will return for evenings specially conceived for this anniversary edition.

Highlights of the 2026 programme

The Festival will open on 20 July with Philippe Jaroussky, Gwendoline Blondeel and Les Accents, performing sacred works by Vivaldi and Pergolesi at the Place de la Courtine. Jazz will take centre stage the following evening with Émile Parisien, Yaron Herman, Linda May Han Oh and Prabhu Edouard. Their performance, entitled Floating, will bring together jazz improvisation, piano, double bass and Indian tabla in an original musical dialogue. At the Fondation Maeght, Vanessa Wagner will present Philip Glass & Beyond, a journey through American minimalism featuring works by Philip Glass, John Cage, Meredith Monk, Moondog, Bryce Dessner and George Gershwin. Another major highlight will see the Modigliani Quartet joined by cellist Edgar Moreau for a programme devoted to Beethoven and Schubert. British pianist Benjamin Grosvenor will also return with a recital spanning Beethoven, Schumann, Scriabin and Chopin. Marion Rampal will pay tribute to Abbey Lincoln in Song for Abbey, while Christian Tetzlaff and Kiveli Dörken will close the Festival with works by Suk, Janáček, Szymanowski and Brahms.

Music in three emblematic venues

The Festival’s identity is inseparable from the places in which it unfolds. The 2026 concerts will be held across three emblematic venues: the Place de la Courtine, the Fondation Maeght and the Fondation CAB.

Set against the village ramparts, the Place de la Courtine offers panoramic concerts at sunset. The Fondation Maeght will welcome performances in both the Giacometti Courtyard and the Miró Labyrinth, while the Fondation CAB will provide a more intimate encounter between music, architecture and minimal art. Since its creation in 2011 by the Modigliani Quartet, the Festival has welcomed many internationally recognised musicians and developed a distinctive relationship between music and the village.

Its singularity lies in the rare combination of artistic excellence and conviviality. As the sun sets over the Provençal hills and the golden light falls across the village stones, each performance becomes a shared experience, shaped as much by the setting as by the music itself. For music lovers and those seeking exceptional summer evenings, the Festival de Saint-Paul de Vence once again promises to be one of the unmissable cultural events of the 2026 season.
