Heesen Yachts has announced the sale of YN 21055, Project Frida — a 55-metre steel motor yacht acquired by a client drawn to the shipyard’s Dutch pedigree and the key advantage of a shortened delivery schedule.
Market interest in Heesen’s 55-metre platform remains strong, thanks to its rare balance between immediate availability and Northern European construction standards. The yacht delivers the volume and technical sophistication expected at this level of ownership, underpinned by a proven engineering platform designed for long-range cruising.

Yachting continues to offer an unmatched combination of flexibility, privacy, and security. The 55-metre platform was selected for its optimal blend of generous internal volume and a relatively compact profile, allowing access to the Mediterranean’s more intimate and sought-after ports.
“The interior of Frida reflects a modern interpretation of traditional maritime heritage,” says Silvia Margutti. “The design combines dark woods with lighter tones, creating a striking contrast and a contemporary edge. Selected areas on board will be dedicated to displaying a curated contemporary art collection, providing a distinctive finishing touch.”

The interior has been designed by Luca Dini Design & Architecture, with lead architect Silvia Margutti working closely alongside Heesen’s interior engineering team to tailor the yacht to the owner’s lifestyle and preferences.

Following completion of the interior customisation, Project Frida will undergo extensive sea trials in the North Sea to ensure all systems meet Heesen’s exacting standards for performance and comfort. Delivery is scheduled shortly thereafter, in time for the summer cruising season.

“Welcoming new owners to the Heesen family is always a significant milestone,” says Jeroen van der Meer, CEO of Heesen Yachts. “Project Frida represents a successful fusion of Dutch engineering excellence and refined, sophisticated design.”

The sale marks a strong and purposeful start to 2026 for the shipyard. The vessel is intended for private use.
