Heesen’s newest hybrid superyacht delivers the perfect balance of cutting-edge engineering and curated luxury.
There are yachts—and then there are statements. With the arrival of ORION, Heesen Yachts once again affirms its mastery of performance-driven elegance. The 50-metre hybrid superyacht is the third delivery of 2025 from the Dutch shipyard and a true symbol of next-gen luxury: bold, efficient, and unapologetically refined. From the moment she glided through her North Sea sea trials, ORION turned heads. Her sleek profile, courtesy of Omega Architects, is defined by a vertical bow and floor-to-ceiling windows that bathe the interiors in natural light.
But the beauty runs far deeper than her silhouette. Underneath her aluminium skin lies Heesen’s Fast Displacement Hull Form (FDHF) combined with hybrid propulsion. The result? Whisper-quiet cruising at 10 knots using just 45 litres of fuel per hour—ideal for gliding through the Bahamas or the Amalfi Coast with minimal environmental impact and maximum style.

Inside, ORION is a sanctuary of craftsmanship. Cristiano Gatto’s interiors showcase a symphony of textures and finishes: Italian marbles, high-gloss woods, woven leather, and bespoke furniture tailored to the owner’s vision. With over 37 materials used throughout, each space feels considered and personal. ORION welcomes twelve guests in six luxurious staterooms, including a full-beam VIP and a main-deck owner’s suite. It’s a layout designed for both intimate cruising and effortless entertaining—understated, sophisticated, and infinitely comfortable.
“She reflects our commitment to sustainable luxury,” says Heesen’s Ruud van der Stroom. “ORION combines high-performance engineering with artisanal detail and silent operation. It’s everything our clients value—in one yacht.”
More than just beautiful, ORION is brilliantly engineered. Twin MTU engines paired with the hybrid system offer a top speed of 16.3 knots and a transatlantic range of 3,750 nautical miles. But for her owners and future charter guests, it’s the quiet, fuel-efficient journeys and diverse cruising capability—including a shallow draft perfect for tropical escapes—that truly set her apart.

ORION joins the charter fleet at Ocean Independence this summer, ready to welcome select clients aboard for unforgettable adventures. “She’s a triumph of collaboration,” says broker Anton Foord. “An exceptional yacht with an exceptional story.”
ORION isn’t just another superyacht. She’s a glimpse into the future—where responsible luxury meets timeless design, and the journey is as captivating as the destination.
