PERSEVERANCE: Benetti’s New Superyacht Brings Beach-Club Glamour to the Open Sea

The brand-new 49.9-metre Benetti B.Now 50 combines contemporary Italian design, a Dolce & Gabbana-inspired beach-club atmosphere and serious charter credentials for a new generation of luxury travellers.

There are superyachts designed simply to transport their guests between glamorous destinations, and then there are those created to become the destination themselves. PERSEVERANCE, the latest 49.9-metre addition to Benetti’s acclaimed B.Now series, firmly belongs in the latter category.

Delivered in 2026 and now available for charter through Northrop & Johnson, PERSEVERANCE represents a distinctly contemporary interpretation of life at sea. With accommodation for 12 guests across six cabins, supported by a crew of 13, she has been conceived around entertaining, relaxation and that increasingly important ability to move effortlessly between privacy and sociability. (Northrop & Johnson)

At 163’9″ (49.9m), with an impressive 9.2-metre beam and 499 gross tonnes of internal volume, PERSEVERANCE offers the proportions expected of a serious superyacht while retaining an atmosphere that feels relaxed rather than imposing. (Northrop & Johnson)

The Mediterranean Beach Club, Reinvented

The centrepiece is undoubtedly the yacht’s spectacular Oasis Deck.

Created to evoke the atmosphere of a favourite Mediterranean beach club, the space features Dolce & Gabbana decoration alongside a central infinity pool, sun loungers, a full bar and fold-down balconies that dramatically expand the deck and open it directly towards the surrounding sea. (Northrop & Johnson)

It is a clever interpretation of modern yacht design. Rather than placing a physical and visual barrier between guests and the water, PERSEVERANCE turns the stern into somewhere intrinsically connected with it.

Imagine arriving off the coast of Sardinia after breakfast, swimming from the yacht during the afternoon and returning to the Oasis Deck as the sun begins to disappear across the Mediterranean. By evening, cocktails replace the swimming towels and the same area transforms into an elegant social space.

That ability to change character throughout the day is fundamental to PERSEVERANCE.

Designed for Entertaining

Entertainment has clearly influenced the entire layout.

Bars and gathering spaces appear throughout the yacht, both inside and outside, while alfresco dining areas can be found on the bridge deck and sundeck. Those seeking somewhere quieter can retreat to the expansive foredeck lounging area.

The sundeck adds a Jacuzzi, while six exterior fire features and an extensive sound system allow the atmosphere to evolve after sunset. (Northrop & Johnson)

Formal dining, meanwhile, has been relocated to the bridge deck. This leaves the main salon free to operate as a genuine living space rather than a room waiting for dinner service.

Here, a substantial seating area is accompanied by a backlit onyx bar, creating another social focal point and allowing the salon to connect naturally with the exterior main deck. (Northrop & Johnson)

Contemporary Italian Luxury

Inside, PERSEVERANCE embraces a light, modern aesthetic.

Neutral furnishings and pale woods establish an understated foundation, while colour and bold prints introduce personality. Floor-to-ceiling windows across the main deck flood the interior with natural light, and large windows within the guest accommodation maintain that important relationship with the ocean.

The result is unmistakably luxurious without becoming unnecessarily formal.

For today’s charter guest, that distinction matters. Superyacht interiors increasingly need to work as genuine homes at sea — somewhere guests can return from swimming, relax with friends, entertain in the evening and spend several weeks aboard without feeling as though they are living inside a showroom.

PERSEVERANCE appears to understand that balance particularly well.

Six Cabins, Twelve Guests

Accommodation is arranged across six guest cabins, comprising four doubles and two convertible cabins, allowing PERSEVERANCE to adapt to different charter groups.

The arrangement makes her particularly suitable for multi-generational families, groups of couples or friends travelling together. Each cabin has been designed to deliver a consistently high standard, with generous en-suite bathrooms and substantial walk-in wardrobes contributing to the feel of a five-star hotel translated onto the water. (Northrop & Johnson)

Importantly, the yacht’s considerable volume allows guests to come together without sacrificing personal space.

It is one of the great challenges of successful charter yacht design: creating spectacular communal areas while ensuring that, when someone wants an hour away from everybody else, there is somewhere equally inviting to disappear to.

Adventure Beyond the Deck

Of course, contemporary superyacht charter is about far more than what happens onboard.

PERSEVERANCE carries an extensive collection of water toys and tenders, including a 55-foot Wajer towed tender, Williams 625 tender, two Sea-Doo Trixx personal watercraft, two Seabobs and Audi eFoils.

Water-skiing, towable, snorkelling and fishing equipment are also available, alongside an anti-jellyfish floating pool. The Wajer tender is listed as unavailable when cruising in Greece. (Northrop & Johnson)

It means a week aboard can change character almost by the hour: breakfast at anchor, eFoiling before lunch, an afternoon exploring the coastline by tender and an evening back aboard beside the infinity pool.

From Monaco to the Caribbean

For summer 2026, PERSEVERANCE is offered across an enviable selection of Mediterranean cruising grounds.

The yacht’s listed regions include Monaco, the French and Italian Rivieras, Sardinia, Corsica, the Amalfi Coast, Croatia, Greece, the Cyclades, Ionian Islands, Dodecanese and Aeolian Islands, among others. (Northrop & Johnson)

Summer charter rates are listed from €320,000 to €360,000 per week, plus expenses.

When winter arrives in Europe, PERSEVERANCE is scheduled to head towards warmer waters, with the 2026/27 winter programme encompassing destinations including The Bahamas, Antigua and Barbuda, the Grenadines, British Virgin Islands, Turks and Caicos, Anguilla, St Lucia and Barbados.

Winter rates are listed between $300,000 and $350,000 per week, plus expenses. (Northrop & Johnson)

A New Generation of Charter Yacht

PERSEVERANCE arrives at an interesting moment for the superyacht world.

Luxury at sea is increasingly being measured not simply through marble, precious materials or formality, but through experience. Guests want spectacular surroundings, certainly, but they also want flexibility, privacy, entertainment and effortless access to the ocean.

PERSEVERANCE brings those elements together within a thoroughly modern Benetti platform.

There is glamour here — plenty of it — but there is also a refreshing emphasis on actually using the yacht. Bars invite conversation, decks encourage guests outdoors, huge windows keep the sea constantly present and the Oasis Deck effectively turns the Mediterranean or Caribbean into part of the architecture.

For anyone accustomed to the beach clubs of Saint-Tropez, Monaco, Mykonos or the Costa Smeralda, PERSEVERANCE offers an enticing proposition: take the atmosphere with you and change the view whenever you wish.

And perhaps that is the ultimate expression of modern superyacht luxury — not simply having somewhere extraordinary to stay, but having the freedom to decide where extraordinary will be tomorrow.
