Experienced nautical industry leader to drive adoption of AI-powered maritime safety systems worldwide.
WATCHIT by Aqua Marina Tech, a global leader in AI-powered maritime safety solutions, announces the appointment of Marie-Claire Bonnet as Head of Strategic Partnerships & Industry Relations. In this role, she will lead initiatives to expand global adoption of WATCHIT’s collision and grounding prevention system, setting up a new standard for intelligent, safer navigation.
Marie-Claire brings extensive experience in marketing, partnerships, and innovation across the nautical sector. She was previously Chief Marketing Officer at BlueNav and held leadership roles at SamBoat, Dream Boat Club, and Dream Yacht Charter, driving strategic growth and launching innovative services for charter, boat rental, and watersports markets.
Her decision to join WATCHIT followed a sea trial on the Azimut Yachts Fly 82 at Cannes Yachting Festival, where she experienced the WATCHIT collision and grounding prevention system in action. “Experiencing WATCHIT first-hand demonstrated a clear solution to one of the industry’s most pressing challenges: information overload at the helm,” said MarieClaire.
WATCHIT: Smarter, Safer Navigation Modern boats generate vast amounts of data, yet operators must interpret it alone. WATCHIT transforms this data into real-time actionable intelligence, combining onboard sensors and 4D imaging radar to detect hazards above and below water. Alerts occur only when necessary, reducing risk, improving reaction time, and enabling safer, more confident navigation. Tal Duvdevany, CEO of WATCHIT, commented: “We are pleased to welcome Marie-Claire to WATCHIT.
Her leadership and industry experience will be key to expanding our strategic partnerships and advancing adoption of our AI-powered safety systems, setting a new standard for intelligent, safer boating.” Marie-Claire Bonnet added: “I am honored to join WATCHIT at this pivotal moment for maritime safety. By building strategic partnerships and working with our ecosystem to accelerate adoption of AIpowered safety, I look forward to shaping a new global standard for smarter, safer seas.”
Marie-Claire and the WATCHIT team will be present at boot Düsseldorf 2026 (January 1822) to meet partners, demonstrate the technology, and discuss the future of AI-powered maritime safety. The system will be showcased at the Garmin stand and can be seen onboard several leading boat brands.
